Just get them to the nearest airport, select air resupply mission, have enough command power, and select air region within range of the troops in question. Also, most transport aircraft of the time were actually within 1000km range, more or less. Range goes up to 2500km but you need to make it half of that because the plane needs to return. C-46 Commando had the range of some 5000km, so 2500 effective range. But most aircraft were around 1000km give or take 200km..
