For pre-1.4, it is best paired with either a weapon from another class, especially one that can inflict Ichor, or by using a strong sentry such as the Ballista Staff ...when I kill lunatic cultist the pillars don't spawn and it does not even say that it died. Can someone help I have killed lunatic cultist 10 times now and it still hasn't spawned the pillar or say the the lunatic cultist died. I've used it, it works petty well since it generally homes in on the real cultist when he does the summon thing. The simplest thing is to just use a hunter potion before the fight, it'll reveal the true cultist, and without the summon stuff he's a pansy with any post-golem weapon. 1.Lit a bunch of fireworks on top of the dungeon and set them off when he is above them they will insta kill him if you get like 200, also hook it up to wiring and a button to fire a few sections at a time Nice. 1. I beat him with piranha gun and terra blade :) 2.Weapons like paladins hammer, the enchanted hatchet, flarion, eye of Cthulu, and vampire knives are better. The Ahnk shield and charm thing arent really necessary for ... But if you still can't beat the Lunatic Cultist with a better loadout, ... With that, good luck with beating the Lunatic Cultist and making your way to the endgame..
